Glad to See You All

Hello Everyone,

It was good to finally see you all in person during class. We're moving fairly quickly to make up for the delays the weather caused but I'm glad to see everyone taking the course seriously and really applying themselves already. We're going to be moving a a good clip to keep making up for lost time because while we can catch up on assignments and have a reading day to use, nothing quite makes up for lost time.

Hopefully I'll continue to see everyone in class. Please keep in mind that because much of the instruction necessary for completing the class is given during our class times it is essential that you be present. I can only help so much via email so if you miss class you may find it necessary to acquire the book I'm using for tutorials and read it on your own time to catch up. I do warn though that the book is rather dense and includes a lot of technical information but is lacking in practical examples and the "Why" of much of what it does. So while you can learn from the book you will learn far more by being present and attentive in class.

I look forward to seeing the wonderful work you'll be doing this semester.

Snow Again

Hello everyone,
It seems the weather is simply not cooperating with us this semester. There was another delayed opening today which means no classes before 9:30. I've put up another assignment for you all to look at and do. Be ready to bring it in with you for next week.

It seems that I've only gotten a few submissions from last week's assignment so I'd like to remind all of you that even though class wasn't held the assignment was still due today. Please get those emails in to me as soon as possible.

Hopefully we'll see each-other next week,
-LB

Welcome!

Hello class, so it seems we've been pretty severely affected by the the adverse weather this semester. So that we don't fall too behind I'm going to be sending all of you a link to this post and a link to the first assignment. This first assignment is an easy one so I expect everyone to have it done before class next week.

I look forward to seeing you all in person next Tuesday morning. Hopefully we'll be spared any more snow.
